Key Responsibilities:
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning and sanitising techniques.
Clean and sanitise food preparation surfaces, storage areas, and equipment following hygiene standards.
Loading/unloading dishwasher.
Cleaning entire kitchen once it is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day.
Empty waste bins and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and food storage areas.
Support the kitchen team by taking deliveries, ensuring ingredients and supplies are properly stocked and readily available.
Follow instructions from the kitchen staff to facilitate efficient workflow.
Supporting the Chef in basic food preparation like cutting ingredients, peeling and washing food items.
Providing assistance to Prep Cooks and other kitchen staff, as needed.
Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers.
Properly handle and dispose of food waste, adhering to waste management guidelines and procedures.
Comply with recycling and composting practices to minimise the environmental impact of kitchen operations.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
Report any safety hazards, accidents, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
Follow personal hygiene practices, including proper handwashing and wearing required protective gear.
